Part of blogging in general is making posts that people will search for. Through my research of popular posts from travel bloggers, I have found that posts like ‘A day in the life of a travel Blogger” are actually very popular.

To me, it is obvious to why it would be popular. Anyone that has an interest in this kind of work will probably google something like this. Along with “How much do travel bloggers make”. Those standard google questions is what anyone googles when they are looking into new jobs.

So with this blog, I am going to share with you on what a day looks like for me. Since I am in the middle of travel, my typical day to day will be different, but I am currently on a cruise with Katarina Cruise lines (Not sponsored) and so the days do end up being similar.

6AM – Computer work

On this trip, I tend to want to get up early because there is a lot going on in the middle of the day that the morning is the best time for me to get any computer work done. I answer any emails, and messages along with edit any content that needs to be edited. I had a video planed to be released this day, so I was double checking that everything was in place to be released with my blog and youtube.

8AM – Breakfast

Katarina Cruise line was amazing, but their food was not. The Breakfast on the other hand was eggcellent. I only liked the breakfast and the deserts that they served on board. Their dinners were really bad and I do hope they fix that with their next cruises.

I also do not drink coffee too much, but I have found that drinking a lot of water and eating a lot of fruit, vegetables and protein has helped with my energy throughout the days. I typically do get around 6-8 hours a day but since the cruise, it has only been 6.

Right after breakfast, I need to do some laundry, but we do not have a laundry service on the boat, so I have to hand wash my own clothing. I do not own any expensive clothing, so when something needs to be washed, I just hand wash it if I do not have access to a washer.

9am – More computer work

I knew that the boat was going to stop at a swim stop at around 1pm, and I do not like to create any outdoor content in the middle of the day, so I used this time to do more computer work along with eat lunch at Noon. Again the lunch isn’t that great, so I decided to skip it in the video.

1pm – Make content

The past couple of days, I have been trying to get a photo with me and the chain from the anchor. So LIA and I headed out to try to get that shot. Again, trying to do underwater photography/video is on a completely different level. But I do think that we got the shot that I wanted.

NEXT DAY?????

So in the video, I go on and say that I lied about it being about the day in the life of a travel blogger because after we swam, I just was not in the mood to vlog, and so I did not vlog the rest of the day, but I did not do much the rest of the day. So I then decided to just pick up around the same time where I left off the previous day on the next day.

3pm Hang out with the Family

It was the last day that I had available to spend time with my mother, so I used this second half of the day to do so. So if you want to see what we did, just check out the video.

And that’s it! I know right?! It was super interesting. But like I said before, everyday is kind of different, but the main thing is trying to figure out the balance between work and life. And I think that is the biggest takeaway from this post. Working for myself is amazing, but it is super hard because there have been plenty of times when I feel guilty because I feel like I should be working while I am hanging out and vice versa.

This balance thing is something that I will have to go into more detail because it is complicated and I definitely don’t have it figured out.

But just stay tuned for that.
